BUSINESS AND PROPOSAL WRITING
This two-day Business & Proposal Writing workshop will give participants a refresher on basic writing concepts (such as spelling, grammar, and punctuation), and an overview of the most common business documents. These necessary skills will provide participants with that extra boost in the business world.
COMMUNITY COMPUTER CAMP
This customizable program engages community members and employees in exploring computer fundamentals, working with the internet, learning about Microsoft Office, and developing social media skills.
CONFLICT RESOLUTION
Dealing with conflict is important for every organization no matter what the size. If it is left unchecked or not resolved it can lead to lost production, absences, attrition, and even law suits.
CREATING ACCOUNTABILITY IN COMMUNITIES
We all have a ‘common sense’ notion of what is meant by ‘accountability’, yet it has remained elusive in practice. Our program provides the tools for enacting accountability in meaningful and practical ways.
CUSTOMER SERVICE EXCELLENCE
This Customer Service workshop will look at all types of customers, how to serve them better and improve the process. Participants in will gain a strong skillset including in-person and over the phone techniques, dealing with demanding customers and generating return business
FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT FOR LEADERSHIP
The Financial Management for Leadership will give participants a solid foundation in how to question items on the financial report, to ensure that decisions are being made appropriately, and in the best interest of the organization.
GOVERNANCE
Indigenous political systems are complex structures of governance. They are designed to fit with the realities of a Nations territory and to provide opportunities to make, interpret and enforce ‘laws’ in a manner that is consensual and inclusive. In constructing political systems, each Nation has a unique and complex system of governance.
H'ART (TOURISM) AMBASSADOR PROGRAM
HOSPITALITY, ART, RECREATIONAL & TOURISM AMBASSADOR
The Ambassador training is geared towards communities/companies who want to strengthen their members in their Culture. We have found when we connect the tourism industry with Cultural Knowledge, we have the highest standards when it comes to hosting. By the end of the program, participants will be able to introduce themselves in their language, sing and dance, and know who they are and where they come from.
HIGH PERFORMING TEAMS
This highly interactive course has been developed by ICLD to provide personal and professional development to staff, and managers. The course can be tailored to meet the needs of your organisation in terms of delivery methods, class configurations, and timing.
HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT
This course will provide the Employee Recruitment Skills that your hiring department needs to help them interview and recruit the right employee. The Human Resource Management workshop will give managers the essential tools to handle numerous human resource situations.
KEY TO EMPLOYMENT (ESSENTIAL SKILLS)
The Indigenous Community for Leadership and Development (ICLD) offers the following program to strengthen skill and successfully guide community participants to achieve desired growth and potential in employment opportunities. These highly interactive courses are delivered from Monday to Friday, and will work closely with staff or department to ensure that we meet each participants objective. Each Participant will have hands-on experience with computers to build their resumes, how to job search and create a presentation.
LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT
This program will enable you to strengthen your leadership skills and successfully guide your community to achieve its desired growth and potential. Courses are highly interactive and focus on Indigenous community needs.
MEETING AND TEAM TASK MANAGEMENT
This workshop is designed to give participants the essential tools to initiate and manage sessions. Participants will learn planning and leading techniques that will provide them with the confidence to run a meeting that will engage the attendees, leave a positive and lasting impression and, increase productivity.
NEGOTIATING WORKSHOP
An essential workshop for leaders and decision makers in community to ensure that deals are made with full understanding of the benefits for all.
The workshop will explore the full process of negotiation, including; how to get prepared for negotiating, information gathering, how to avoid common mistakes, skills required of a good negotiator and how to close a deal. Participants will come away from this workshop with tools to help feel more confident when negotiating the next deal for their community.
PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT
Performance Management is making sure the employee and the organization are focused on the same priorities. It touches on the team itself by improving production and reducing waste. It helps the employee or individual set and meet their goals and enhances the employee-manager relationship.
PERSONAL AND PROFESSIONAL PRODUCTIVITY
Through this workshop, your participants will be on the right track in how to organize daily activities and find those hidden moments. Participants will be able to set clear measurable goals, measure personal progress, develop strategies to hold time, and how to manage a project from beginning to end.
RISE
ROOTS OF INDIGENOUS STRENGTH AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP
The Indigenous Community for Leadership and Development (ICLD) offers the RISE Program to enable you to strengthen your communities skills and successfully guide individuals to achieve growth and potential. This highly interactive course is delivered in your Nation, and we work closely with your team to ensure that we meet your objectives.
SUCCESSION THROUGH MENTORSHIP
Succession Through Mentorship is delivered in community over a period of 6 weeks or 6 sessions. This highly interactive course has been developed by ICLD to provide personal and professional development to staff and managers. The course can be tailored to meet the needs of your organisation in terms of delivery methods, class configuration and timing.
YOUTH CAREER SURFING
Many Indigenous Communities youth struggle in finding meaningful employment. There have been many barriers identified that have caused the young people to give up. Our Youth Career Surfing Workshop creates an environment that engages the youth by exploring the many career choices from general labour jobs to a future working with technology, the environment, and tourism to name a few. This workshop will provide a strong start for youth (15 to 30 years of age) moving from school to employment or further education.
